WHEN I was a child, in a time so far off there weren't even four channels, let alone 504, my parents would complain about "bloody repeats".
These days, of course, not only are there still as many repeats as ever but we can make our own too - by watching programmes over and over on the iPlayer and Sky and discount citizen watch so on.
None of which excuses BBC4's blushes over this week's repeat of a fluffy little thing called Brothers In Arms, a documentary about rock acts featuring brothers, from the Kinks to Bros and onwards.
A moment's updating would have made the show less unintentionally funny, as the voiceover assured Replica Watches us, firstly, that 23 albums later, UB40 are still unchanged - whereas brothers Ali and Robin Campbell have now wholesale lingerie fallen out.
And as for the bit about Oasis - has nobody told the BBC that battling brothers Liam and Noel are no longer battling because Noel quit? Next week on BBC4, a documentary about how happy Paul McCartney is with Heather Mills...
