Marlins manager Edwin Rodriguez may not be able to resist the temptation to move up Mike Stanton in the batting order.

Rodriguez has talked to his staff about batting the rookie fourth or fifth. Reds closer Francisco Cordero loaded the bases with no outs on two walks and a single in the ninth inning but needed just two pitches to end the game.

Florida had a chance to catch the Reds in the seventh with runners on first and second and no outs and trailing 4-3. But Hanley Ramirez, who doubled to lead off the inning, made a base- running blunder by being caught off second base for a double play on a soft line drive to second base hit by Sanchez.
