WHEN she scooped the biggest ever Euromillions jackpot, Irish granny Dolores McNamara must have thought she was the luckiest woman alive.
But they say money can't buy true happiness, and now the 50-year- old is a semi-recluse, living in a sprawling mansion, with a daughter, a string of racehorses and a son - welcome to the incredible and wonderful world of the EUR115million Limerick gran.
It's just five years since Dolores came home from her holiday home in Kusadasi, Turkey, and bought a EUR2 Euromillions ticket.
While sitting in the Track Bar in Garryowen, the mum-of-six checked blancpain replica watches her numbers to discover she was now Ireland's 77th richest person.
And right from the start, the country's newest millionaire was the focus of attention.
As locals celebrated Dolores' good fortune, one enterprising "friend" took photographs of the night and sold them off to the highest bidder.
This was just a taste of what was to come. Since then, just like Enya - who she briefly displaced in the rich list - Dolores has rarely been seen in public and has not become a high society fixture as a result of her staggering wealth.
Her only major extravagance was a mansion in Kilaloe, Co Clare, less than 30 minutes from her house in Limerick.
Her husband Adrian has bought a number of horses which are currently in training.
Soon after the details of her good fortune were made public, it became obvious that Dolores and her family would be forced to move.
Just hours after her big win the begrudgers were already out in force with people trying to cash in on her victory.
Almost 100 workers with access to the social welfare database inspected details of any benefits she may have been entitled to. Christian Louboutin boots
Oddest of all, when Dolores bought the EUR2 ticket on that fateful Friday night, she thought she was buying a ticket for the Irish lotto on Saturday and not a chance of scooping the bumper Euromillions draw.
In the days after winning the cash, Dolores and her family travelled around Ireland and the UK in a bid to come to terms with their good fortune. But it took more than six months before she started spending any cash.
Soon she went to Cambodia along with her family and bought several luxury cars for relatives as well as a number of high-end properties.
But the McNamaras have been forced to spend up to EUR100,000 on security systems for their homes because of the real and ever- present threat of kidnapping.
Dolores spent almost EUR2million buying her home which overlooks Lough Derg.
The 2,500 sq ft pad boasts an indoor swimming pool and an allimportant perimeter wall.
It also has a state-of-the-art security system to keep out any unwanted visitors.
But despite her best efforts at remaining under the radar, Dolores' family have repeatedly made it into the headlines.
Her daughter Dawn claims that she has married former childhood sweetheart Alan Barry on her Facebook page - despite only dumping an earlier lover just weeks previously.
Dawn has even announced she has changed her surname to Barry - afterReplica Watches
