Defending, Theresa Clark, said: "Miss Craven had lived next door to the witnesses for some time and it had come to her attention that they had been responsible for causing damage at her property. Her windows had been smashed on at least seven occasions."

Craven had also had paint thrown at her house and her property broken into, Miss Clark added.

Handing her a 12-month jail sentence suspended for two years, Recorder Paul Kirtley said: "You can't go around waving a sword, threatening to slice people, and it doesn't matter how many times they may or may not have smashed your windows. That's sexy high heels not the way we go about things in this country."

Craven admitted affray and possession of an offensive weapon at an earlier hearing. She must also do 100 hours of unpaid work.
